HEALTHY PREGNANCY CLASS (around 12-22 weeks pregnant)

  • Challenges in pregnancy

  • Diet and exercise
  • Pelvic floor awareness
  • Travel
  • What to expect from your check-ups

Classes are held on a Thursday evening every second month from 6pm – 8.30pm. Please note that a support person is not required for this class.

ANTENATAL CLASS (around 30 weeks pregnant)

  • When to come to hospital
  • Planning for birth
  • Midwife’s role
  • Your hospital stay
  • Breastfeeding
  • Tour of the maternity ward

Classes are held regularly with several times available, including a one day or two day weekend class. Support person is encouraged.

ACTIVE BIRTH CLASS (around 35 weeks pregnant for intended vaginal births)

  • Transition from pregnancy to labour
  • Support partners role
  • Optimal fetal positioning
  • Massage
  • Combining movement in labour
  • Using water in labour
  • Breathing techniques
  • Use of fit-balls
  • Using other sensations (music /mantras)
Classes are held on Monday and Thursday evenings every month from 6pm – 8pm. Support person encouraged.
