The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital will host its inaugural Teddy Bear Fair on the campus from 9am – 1pm on Sunday 15 May 2016.
The FREE event will be full of fun, food and excitement celebrating our Buderim babies and children everywhere.
The day will feature a range of exciting activities, displays, prizes, entertainment, tours and workshops.
Local mum, Lauren Neilsen from Woombye, is planning on attending the event with her 20-month-old daughter, Celia.
“We have lots of great memories from having our beautiful daughter at the hospital and it's great we can bring her back here to see where she was born so she can make some memories of her own,” Lauren said.
“I think Celia will love all the fantastic children’s activities that have been organised and she will also enjoy seeing where she will visit her new little brother or sister come August!,” she said.
The day’s festivities will include Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors and animal encounters, Kwazi the Octonaut and the team from Sealife, and Jamie Dunn and Agro will also be there to read a popular children’s story and get kids up and dancing.
For community members thinking about having a baby, the Teddy Bear Fair is their day to find out more about the hospital’s comprehensive range of maternity services. There will be opportunities to speak with midwives and obstetricians, and tours through the maternity ward will depart every 30 minutes.
There will also be a fully equipped Teddy Bear Hospital there on the day ready to patch up a favourite loved toy, as well as a petting zoo, jumping castle, face painting and colouring in area.
Wallis Westbrook, General Manager of The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital, encouraged the community to come along and support the event.
“As part of our 35th birthday celebrations we are excited to hold this community event and would like to welcome old, new and future members of our Buderim baby family along for a great day,” he said.
The event will be held on The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital’s campus at 12 Elsa Wilson Drive, Buderim. Car parking is free. For more information, visit sunshinecoasthospital.com.au/teddy.
The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital has been serving the community for 35 years and is part of UnitingCare Health - one of the largest not-for-profit private hospital groups in Queensland which operates more than 1000 licensed beds across four hospitals.
