A first for the Sunshine Coast, the private Emergency Centre has treated over 5000 patients in its $3 million facility onsite at Buderim Private Hospital.

Karen Clark, General Manager of Buderim Private Hospital, said the service has been well supported by the Sunshine Coast community.

“Patient feedback has consistently confirmed that our Emergency Centre has been able to deliver on our promise of providing specialist emergency care by experienced doctors with little to no wait time,” Mrs Clark said.

“We have worked hard to ensure our Emergency Centre patients receive the quality one-on-one care the Buderim Private Hospital is renowned for,” she said.

“I am extremely proud of our team for their hard work over the past 12 months which has made a difference to the lives of so many and ensured our growing Sunshine Coast community has options of where to seek emergency healthcare.”

Whether it’s a sudden accident, illness, injury or pain, the Buderim Private Hospital Emergency Centre is available to patients of all ages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Dr Michael Natale, Medical Director of the Emergency Centre, said the Emergency Centre has treated the young and old, from injuries on the sport field to chest pain and palpitations, and accidents at home or in the workplace.

“Every emergency is important and we are able to assist anyone with time-critical medical issues and provide high quality treatment and care,” Dr Natale said.

“We value our patients’ wellbeing and know that emergencies can cause a major disruption to your life so are available 24/7 to treat every kind of illness and injury and get you home to your loved ones as soon as possible,” he said.

The Emergency Centre presentation fee is inclusive of the specialist consultation as well as the necessary X-rays and blood tests. Concession rates are available, including for children under the age of 17, and there are no out-of-pocket fees for eligible DVA and WorkCover patients.

To acknowledge the anniversary, the hospital Chaplain will offer thoughts, prayers and blessings to those who visit and work in the facility.
