Members of the Buderim Private Hospital Ladies Auxiliary have been busy sewing a range of newborn booties, bonnets and teddies as a special gift for maternity patients this Mother’s Day.
Every maternity patient at Buderim Private Hospital will receive a gift which will complement a Mother’s Day card the Auxiliary have delivered to patients for the past 10 years.
Karen Clark, General Manager of the Buderim Private Hospital, said she anticipated the hospital’s patients will be thrilled to receive the newborn goodies.
“Having a baby is an incredibly special time and I’m sure our maternity patients will remember this unique Mother’s Day for many years to come,” Mrs Clark said.
“It is an extremely challenging time for our community at the moment but acts of kindness and generosity such as this are truly heart warming and can make difficult moments easier to bear and joyous moments even sweeter,” she said.
“We would like to thank our Ladies Auxiliary for making the gifts and cards and their longstanding commitment to supporting our staff and patients over the years.”
