Doctor Details

Dr Alana Harris practices as a cardiologist with expertise in heart rhythm management. She is currently based at Buderim Private Hospital, also seeing patients at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Hospital and her clinic in Caloundra.

Dr Harris is a graduate of the University of Queensland and holds fellowships in Cardiology with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. She is also a member of Heart Rhythm Society and the European Heart Rhythm Association.

Since starting the first cardiac electrophysiology service and pacemaker clinics on the Sunshine Coast in 2005 after completing a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Ottawa, Dr Harris undertook further training in the cryoablation of atrial fibrillation, initiating this service at Buderim Private Hospital in 2015.

Dr Harris has particular interest in the management of atrial fibrillation, syncope, device implantation and management and other aspects of heart rhythm management.
