Dr Alana Harris

Dr Alana Harris practices as a cardiologist with expertise in heart rhythm management.
Dr Harris is a graduate of the University of Queensland and holds fellowships in Cardiology with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Dr Harris is a member of Heart Rhythm Society and the European Heart Rhythm Association.
Dr Harris started the first cardiac electrophysiology service and pacemaker clinics on the Sunshine Coast in 2005 after completing a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Ottawa.
Dr Harris has undertaken further training in the cryoablation of atrial fibrillation and initiated this service at Buderim Private Hospital in 2015.
Dr Harris has particular interest in the management of atrial fibrillation, syncope, device implantation and management and other aspects of heart rhythm management.
Dr Harris has a senior medical officer appointment as the Nambour General Hospital and visiting medical officer privileges at Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and Greenslopes Hospital.
