Dr Anthony Morosini
Located on Buderim Private Hospital Campus
Dr Morosini completed medical his medical training at the University of Queensland in Brisbane in 1993. He trained in paediatrics at the Mater Children and Mater Mothers’ Hospitals, Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, and regional hospitals throughout Queensland. He was also the Senior Registrar at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital’s intensive care nursery.
Dr Morosini sees patients in his private clinic and also looks after newborn babies in the wards and special care nursery at The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital.
Dr Morosini also works at Nambour General Hospital doing ward rounds and clinics. This position also involves teaching junior doctors, mentoring around audits and involvement in research studies.
Dr Morosini’s areas of interest include:
- Neonatal medicine (newborn babies) and follow-up of premature babies
- All areas of general paediatrics including children with disabilities and neurological disorder who need complex care
- Respiratory medicine, including asthma and cough
- Diabetes, including a private diabetes clinic with Rene Hinton, diabetic educator
- Children with hearing loss (Dr Morosini has personal experience in this area)
Throughout Dr Morosini’s career he has received the following accreditations and recognition:
- Member of Obstetric and Neonatal Services Committee, The Sunshine Coast Hospital
- Recognition for clinical teaching by Queensland Health
- Regular teacher of the national Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- Examiner for the Royal Australian College of Physicians
Dr Morosini hails from Far North Queensland, has four school aged children and can speak fluent Italian.
