Dr Steven Kypraios is the director of the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory at Buderim Private Hospital. He is a general and interventional cardiologist with expertise in acute chest pain and heart attack assessment and management, coronary angiography, coronary stenting, cardiac pacemaker implantation, echocardiography and stress echocardiography.

Established in full time private practice on the Coast since 2006, Dr Kypraios has led the development of interventional cardiology services as well as the Buderim Heart Centre direct cardiac referral service, at Buderim Private Hospital. Dr Kypraios’ rooms are located at the Sunshine Coast Cardiology Practice, on the campus of Buderim Private Hospital.

A graduate of the University of Melbourne, Dr Kypraios is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Cardiology and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Dr Kypraios completed his postgraduate fellowship training in interventional cardiology, at the University of Western Ontario, in London, Canada. He was a visiting interventional cardiologist at the Prince Charles Hospital from 2006 to 2013.
