About the Auxiliary
The Buderim Private Hospital Auxiliary provides a vital link between the hospital and the community. Many of its members have been residents of the Sunshine Coast for many years.
Auxiliary members play an important hands-on role in supporting patients of Buderim Private Hospital. Auxiliary members provide many ‘soft touches’ around the hospital, including refreshing patients' flowers, making and distributing Christmas and Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts to patients, as well as decorating the hospital every Christmas.
The Auxiliary also fundraise to supply important extra amenities for the comfort of Buderim Private Hospital patients which is in addition to those already provided.
Social calendar activities regularly feature card and games events, luncheons and fashion parades.
Fundraising activities in the past have included golf days, movie mornings, sausage sizzles, raffles and tables of produce. Items supplied to the hospital as a result of this fundraising includes special pillows for breastfeeding mothers, a special humidicrib to assist with the transport of premature babies, vases for patient flowers and specialised patient mattresses.
