Specialised clinical rotations
Over the course of a year and two clinical rotations, we offer the opportunity to consolidate your skills in several specialities – broadening your experience, and setting you up for success.
Three streams to consolidate your skills:
General Nursing Stream
Our general program offers a range of specialties that rotate and vary each program:
- Acute Medicine
- Critical Care Services
- DOSA/Day Surgery
- ENT, Gynaecology, Plastics
- Mental Health
- Orthopaedics, Urology, vascular
- Rehabilitation
- Surgical
Midwifery/Nursing Stream
This program allows new graduates with dual nursing and midwifery registrations to work across all areas of midwifery, including: labour ward, post-natal and special care nursery; and complete a general nursing rotation.
Perioperative Stream
There are two Perioperative Programs available at Buderim Private Hospital:
- Scrub/Scout Program
- PACU (Post Anaesthetics Care Unit) / Anaesthetics Program
Both programs include a comprehensive theoretical component as well as a supportive clinical component.
