Dr Amy Pun
Raised in Toowoomba, Dr Amy Pun is an adult & paediatric Otolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon (also known as an ENT) with subspecialty training in Rhinology and sinus surgery.
She is qualified as both a doctor, and a dentist with First Class Honours from the University of Adelaide. She undertook her ENT training in major Sydney and Melbourne hospitals and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2020.
Dr Pun has completed the prestigious University of Auckland Fellowship in Rhinology. This 18-month further specialisation enabled her to develop advanced skills in performing complex nasal, sinus and skull base surgeries via minimally-invasive endoscopic surgery.
Outside of the operating theatre, Dr Pun enjoys educating junior medical staff as a VMO and is the current intern supervisor at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. She has taught as a Royal Australasian College of Surgeons ‘Early Management of Trauma’ instructor and was a postgraduate Anatomy tutor for doctors at the University of Melbourne. She has also serviced remote and Indigenous communities with previous appointments at Royal Darwin Hospital and the QLD Health Deadly Ears outreach program.
Amy is excited to be returning to Queensland to deliver high quality ENT care to the Sunshine Coast community. She is a lover of the arts, Pilates, skiing and exploring the world; one local cuisine at a time!
