Dr Brendan Perry BSc, MBBS, FRACS (OHNS)
Dr Brendan Perry is a Queensland-trained Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon who treats adult and paediatric patients. He has subspecialist training in the management of conditions of the ear and hearing loss, including cochlear implantation and other hearing implantable devices.
Dr Perry loves that his work enables him to help people of all ages, from newborns right through to the elderly, to manage a range of issues that have a significant impact on their lives. Working collaboratively with patients, their general practitioners, audiologists, speech therapists, physiotherapists and other health professionals, Dr Perry manages a wide range of ENT conditions including acute and chronic ear disease, hearing loss, cholesteatoma, sleep apnoea, neck masses and sinus disease.
Brendan appreciates that hearing and sleep difficulties in children can be particularly stressful issues for families, and he enjoys working with families to find answers and to help them understand the options available.
Dr Perry completed medical school at the University of Queensland. He initially commenced his surgical training as a registrar in General Surgery, gaining experience in breast, thyroid and transplantation surgery, before choosing to specialise in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery.
Following many years of working in tertiary and general hospitals in south-east Queensland, Dr Perry obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the field of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr Perry undertook a Fellowship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth to extend his knowledge and expertise in the areas of chronic ear diseases, complex hearing loss management and lateral skull base surgery.
