Dr Charles Dick MBBS, MRCS, FRACS, FAOrthA
Dr Charles Dick is a highly respected general orthopaedic surgeon with a sub-specialty in the treatment of conditions affecting the upper limb (hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder) and knee.
Dr Dick is renowned for providing personalised orthopaedic care and as an advocate for medical education. He uses advanced technology including the use of patient customised 3D printed guides for the insertion of shoulder and knee replacements.
Dr Dick was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland and graduated from The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, one of the best medical schools in the UK, in 2000. During his surgical training with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, he worked as an anatomy demonstrator and lecturer at the University of Leeds.
After being awarded a Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons England in 2006, he emigrated to Australia to be with his wife, who is an anaesthetist from the Sunshine Coast. He completed further orthopaedic training with the Queensland advanced orthopaedic training programme and was awarded his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015. Dr Charles Dick is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
