Doctor Details

Dr Gerrit Fialla was educated in Sydney and obtained his medical degree from the University of New South Wales. Gerrit holds a Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians (AFRM).  He has practiced as a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine since 1997. Dr Fialla was Director of Rehabilitation and Aged Care for the Blue Mountains Health Service from 1997-2005. He re-located to the Sunshine Coast in 2005 to become a Senior Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation for the Sunshine Coast Health Service as well as Director of Rehabilitation for the Eden Rehabilitation Centre, Cooroy.

Dr Fialla was heavily involved in the development of the rehabilitation service at ​Buderim Private Hospital which commenced in 2010. Since this time, he has been in full-time private practice and is the Director of Rehabilitation at ​Buderim Private Hospital. He currently provides a visiting and advisory service to St Stephen’s Hospital, Hervey Bay. 

Dr Fialla has extensive experience in all aspects of rehabilitation with a special interest in geriatric, musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation.
