Dr Melissa White is a gastroenterologist with a special interest in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and complex gastro intestinal complications. She also sees patients with liver issues and nutritional disorders. She performs all endoscopic and colonoscopic procedures, Her procedural expertise includes the removal of large colon neoplastic polyps allowing the avoidance of surgery in most cases.

Dr White completed her undergraduate training in 1985 at the University of Queensland and then completed her physician/gastroenterology training in 1993. After graduating from the University of Queensland, Dr White undertook clinical training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Woden Valley Hospital, Canberra, and completed her gastroenterology training at the Royal Alfred Hospital in Sydney.

She has been in private practice on the Sunshine Coast since 1994. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia. She is one of Queensland's most experienced Pillcam practitioners.
