Dr Paul Leschke is the lead interventional radiologist on the Sunshine Coast for VIRQ - Vascular & Interventional Radiology Queensland, a new specialist service founded by a team of highly skilled and passionate interventional radiologists. 

Dr Leschke completed his radiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2013, followed by a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. 

In 2016, he received recognition for training in peripheral endovascular therapy by the conjoint committee (CCRTPET) and also in the same year gained the EBIR (European Board of Interventional Radiology) qualification from the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe. 

Paul was the director of interventional radiology at Sunshine Coast University Hospital from 2016-2023 and is now offering the same high quality specialist care for patients at Buderim Private Hospital including:

- Embolisation for treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH)

Paul grew up in Buderim where he now has a young family and is proud to serve the community that he was raised in.
