Dr Rebecca Magee is an experienced Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon, providing treatment for the full spectrum of vascular conditions. Dr Magee was raised on the Sunshine Coast, and after completing her training with national and international leaders in vascular surgery, she returned to home to the Sunshine Coast and established a public vascular surgery department after more than 10 years without a local service. She is now based at The Buderim Private Hospital, providing access to the latest vascular treatment options in a caring and supportive environment.
Dr Magee specialises in minimally invasive keyhole “endovascular” surgery, and has special interests in varicose veins, peripheral vascular disease and diabetic foot ulcers. Dr Magee uniquely provides both comprehensive in-room “walk in, walk out” varicose vein treatment options, and hospital based treatment options for more severe problems. In addition to advanced endovascular treatments, Dr Magee also offers both open and hybrid surgery.
Dr Magee’s philosophy is to provide a comfortable environment where patients can discuss their concerns, provide access to the latest vascular treatment technology and techniques, and to educate patients on their condition and treatment options to empower them to make informed choices regarding their care.
Dr Magee is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, an Affiliate Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebologists, and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgeons. She is active in vascular research and is a member of the Vasoactive cardiovascular research team based at The University of the Sunshine Coast.
