Dr Tegan Stewart MBBS FAFRM

Dr Tegan Stewart is a Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist who holds a passion for providing patient-centred holistic care and supporting people with disability and persistent pain to improve their everyday function and quality of life in the context of complex and chronic medical conditions.
Dr Stewart grew up in Innisfail, Far North Queensland, and attained her medical degree at James Cook University in Townsville. She moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2016 to complete her specialist training across a mixture of public and private rehabilitation facilities in the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane areas, including the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit and Spinal Injuries Unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr Stewart is experienced in and enjoys all areas of Rehabilitation Medicine, with particular interest and expertise in the rehabilitation management of persistent pain syndromes and disability for conditions such as stroke and acquired brain injury (including traumatic brain injury and concussion), spinal cord injury, functional neurological disease, chronic neurological diseases (eg Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis), neuropathy or myopathy, amputation (and phantom limb pain), arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Outside of work, Dr Stewart enjoys walking, swimming, reading novels, playing music and spending time with her family.
