Dr Tracey Lang is a consultant psychiatrist with a special interest in female mental health issues and psychotherapy. She is interested in the whole person and takes a biopsychosocial approach to treatment and management.

Dr Lang completed her medical degree through the University of Otago, Christchurch School of Medicine in 2003. She rapidly became interested in pursuing a career in Psychiatry and began her formal training in 2006. She worked part time due to family commitments and work-life balance throughout much of her training and became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2017. Dr Lang obtained a certificate in Advanced Adult Psychiatry through the RANZCP in 2019.

Additionally, Dr Lang is a trained psychotherapist, having completed a three-year training course through the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists (ANZAP) within the Conversational Model. She is a graduate member of ANZAP.

Dr Lang spent many years working and training in various psychiatric specialty services in Christchurch, New Zealand, including placements within a Mothers' and Babies' Service and Mentalisation Based Therapy.

Since qualifying as a psychiatrist in 2017, she worked in a busy public adult acute inpatient service on the Sunshine Coast and has worked in private practice since May 2020.

Outside of work, Dr Lang enjoys the outdoors, keeping fit by cycling, swimming and hiking. She also enjoys indoor hobbies including crochet, sewing and reading.
