GPs are invited to join us to discover the latest advances and options in breast cancer surgery and conservation, as well as the supportive care available from our staff and specialists, including breast cancer nurses, rehabilitation, psychology, pharmacy and the Buderim Private Hospital Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Program.

6.30pm: The breast cancer journey - What GPs need to know, presented by general surgeon Dr Nicolas Copertino. 

7.15pm: Pregnancy-associated breast cancer, presented by general surgeon Dr Roderick McMurray.   

8pm: GP discussion and questions.

8.30pm: Close.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Learning outcomes include:

  • Learn about the specific risks and guidelines for managing patients with pregnancy-associated breast cancer.
  • Understanding the red flags, treatment modalities, timelines and follow-up care.
