The Cooinda Mental Health Service has a range of outpatient day programs that are available to treat a range of specific mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder and emotional problems to help restore confidence and wellbeing.
Delivered in a private group setting, attend the regular sessions to receive education, support and treatment to assist with your recovery. Access the support you need and return to the familiarity of your own home each day and feel assured of further support on your path to wellness.

Overcoming Depression
The Overcoming Depression Program is designed to help people overcome their low mood and depression and reclaim their lives.
Overcoming Anxiety
The Overcoming Anxiety Program is a group designed to help people overcome anxiety disorders and reclaim their lives.
Overcoming Addiction
The Overcoming Addiction Program designed for individuals who are seeking to abstain or considering abstinence from an addiction. The program uses a framework that is self-empowering and offers a self-reliant approach to recovery.
Trauma Recovery Program - Post-traumatic stress disorder
The Trauma Recovery Program is designed to help guide veterans, and those who experienced significant trauma, through the recovery process.
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills Training Program
The Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills Training Program is aimed at helping people learn skills to better tolerate high levels of distress, regulate emotions and improve resilience to ‘negative’ emotions, and be more effective in interpersonal relationships.
Transition to Wellness Program
The Transition to Wellness Program enables patients to receive treatment while remaining in their own home. For some, it may even be an alternative to a hospital admission. The program helps you to build a ‘toolkit’ of techniques and strategies to improve functioning; to increase self awareness; and to help you find your path towards ongoing mental wellness.
Managing Bipolar Disorder
Learn how to monitor and understand your mood symptoms, identify early warning signs for episodes, and learn cognitive and behavioural strategies for managing episodes of depression and mania.
Managing Adult ADHD Program
The Managing Adult ADHD Program is based on the principles of cognitive behaviour therapy and includes modules on psychoeducation (to build insight) and skills development (to navigate symptoms of ADHD more effectively).
