Endoscopy procedures in Buderim

An endoscopy allows our highly skilled Buderim Private Hospital gastroenterologists to inspect and observe the inside of the body without performing major surgery. An endoscopy procedure is used to diagnose disorders of the oesophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, gall bladder, liver and pancreas.

When you undergo an endoscopy, your surgeon will use sedation or a general anaesthetic. An endoscope (or a fibrescope) – a long, flexible tube with a lens at one end and a video camera at the other – is inserted through the mouth, urethra or anus. This allows the surgeon to see what is going on inside your body and, if necessary, perform delicate and accurate procedures.

At Buderim Private Hospital, we have a dedicated theatre for endoscopy procedures. We also have a team of expert specialists that are dedicated to helping you find diagnosis and treatment tailored to your specific needs. Our facilities are not only state-of-the-art, but they offer a tranquil and leafy setting at your doorstep.
